Wolves Part Ways With Ghanaian Youngster Jed Abbey

Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted ways with Dutch-born Ghanaian teenager Jed Abbey after 10 years with the club, Graphic Sports reports.

The 18-year-old right-back joined the Wolves Academy in 2010 and has progressed through to the under-18 side which features in the Under-18 Premier League.

Abbey, this season, made 17 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals with
three assists. However, he has been forced to leave as the club is unable to guarantee him topflight football.

According to Graphic Sports, Abbey’s representatives are already in talks with West Bromwich Albion, Swansea and other teams who have assured him top-level football.

Jed Abbey was born to Ghanaian parents in Den Haag, a city in the Netherlands.
