Ibrahim Tanko scored his first goal for Borussia Dortmund in the 1994/1995 Bundesliga season against Bayer Uerdingen.

That goal made his one of the youngest goalscorers in the history of the Bundesliga.

He was one of the biggest talents in the Bundesliga in the 90s.

Tanko was 17 years and 250 days old when he scored his first goal for Dortmund, making him the 7th youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history.

Tanko joined Borussia Dortmund from King Faisal Babes F.C. in 1994 at age 17, making him one of the youngest players to appear professionally for Dortmund.

He made his Bundesliga debut on 24 September 1994 in a 5–0 home win against VfB Stuttgart.
