You know when you have an event coming up and you know you have to slay to the event.
Sometimes, just to make a point – or make someone jealous or you just want to feel fly.
However, you have combed through everything you have in your closet or wardrobe but nothing quite makes up for it.
The time is too short to bully your fashion designer to get something to slay in…
Now, you’re thinking of not attending the event… cos you either show up big or stay at home.
Well, people living in Lagos have a solution to their problem.
Thanks to Ghanaian Akosua Acheaw and her business partner who founded Korbi Collective.
Korbi Collective is a fashion rental business. Their basic business model is to rent luxurious fashion items to their customers who return it after using it.
Kobi Collective has over 450 dresses and accessories (in sizes 4 to 22) for their customers.
All they have to do is to walk into their shops or DM them on social media to rent a gorgeous dress to attend their event.
It’s Rent. Slay. Return.
Akosua, who loves fashion and beauty has also founded the African Beauty Collective, which is an e-commerce platform tailored to the fashion industry.
It reviews African Beauty products and trends across skincare, hair and makeup categories.
The majority of the products recommended on this site are made by African women who have identified a need when it comes to beauty and personal grooming. These women work tirelessly to bring you great quality products that address your concerns in beautiful and functional packaging.
Akosua Acheaw is an alumnus of Instituto de Empresa, S.L. (“IE”) located in Spain.
She was born in Ghana, grew up in South Africa and now works in Nigeria. She is a Marketing Manager at BP Nigeria by day and the founder of Skip Fashion Exchange, a unique sustainability initiative that gives South African women the opportunity to embrace a new environmentally conscious way of shopping.
Yes… she wears many hats.
