Ghanaians on Twitter are not happy about a tweet by Joshua Dag Heward-Mills, the son of renowned Evangelist, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.

In recent days, people all over the world are talking about issues related to racism and injustice, following the death of George Floyd.

George Floyd died on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis after a white police officer knelt on his neck.

Protests have been held in major cities of the United States of America to condemn the inhumane treatment of black people in the country.

A lot of influential people including the President Nana Akufo-Addo, Ghanaian celebrities and footballers have stated their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Joshua Dag Heward-Mills, however, wishes much noise could be made about Christ and His death too.

He tweeted: “I know of another guy who was brutally murdered by law enforcement in his own country.
He was stripped naked in front of all his friends and family and viciously beaten. He was only 33. Tragic. I wish we would make as much noise about his death. It would bring real change.”

It’s a genuine concern by him, but some Ghanaians on Twitter think he is wrong for making such a statement at this time.

According to them, it is important to preach Christ, but people who are suffering injustice need to be heard and now is the time to provide them with the platform to put across their grievances to get the change they want.
