Social Media To The Rescue: Joseph Needs Help To Fund Neuroblastoma Treatment

Joseph Boateng Mensah who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma in December 2019 is currently undergoing treatment in India

Joseph Boateng Mensah is in dire need of help to raise funds to complete his medical treatment.

The two-year-old was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma in December 2019.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the body. It is often found in the small glands on top of the kidneys (adrenal glands). It can develop in the stomach, chest, neck, pelvis and bones. Children aged five or younger are most commonly affected.

After Joseph was diagnosed with the cancer, he was flown to the Apollo Hospital in India for treatment because the resources and equipment for proper diagnosis and treatment are not in Ghana.

His family came up with $15,000 for treatment but it wasn’t enough as he needs eight more cycles of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

Joseph’s family have run out of funds and are seeking help to raise enough funds for the remaining treatment.

He is currently undergoing treatment that will cost an amount of $50,000.

However, $30,000 has been donated by the Church of Pentecost.

To help save Joseph’s life, send your donation via MTN Mobile Money number: 054995629 (Account name: Kwable Albert) or this bank account: Fidelity Bank (Account name: Priscilla Otchere-Boateng, Account number: 2030796788818, Branch: Adum Main).

You can also donate on his GoFundMe page.
