Relive Real Madrid’s 2017 UEFA Champions League Title Defence

Three years ago today, Real Madrid became the first European club to successfully defend their title in the Champions League.

Real Madrid, managed by their legend Zinedine Zidane, beat Italian giants Juventus 4-1 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on 3 June 2017, to lift their twelfth UEFA Champions League trophy.

Real Madrid’s four goals were scored by Cristiano Ronaldo (2), Casemiro and Marco Asensio who came of the bench, while Juventus goal was scored by Mario Mandžukić in the 27th minute.

The great Real Madrid team went on to defend their Champions League title again the following year, completing a three-peat.
