Great news for Odion Ighalo as he is set to continue to play for the club he supported as a boy, until 2021.
Manchester United, today [June 1, 2020] announced that they have reached an agreement to extend Odion Ighalo’s loan deal from Shanghai Shenhua until January 31, 2021.
Ighalo will now have the chance to build upon the amazing performances he put for the Red Devils in his first eight games.
Out of the eight games he has played for Manchester United so far, he has scored four amazing goals, one of which won him United’s Goal of the Month award for March 2020.
Ighalo initially joined Manchester United in a Deadline Day move in January 2020. His current deal at Shanghai Shenhua runs out in December 2022 and he will be expected to sign a contract offer until the end of 2024 worth £400,000 a week.
