Ex-President Mahama Celebrates His Late Mother On #DayOfParents

Former President, John Dramani Mahama is celebrating his late mother on a day many are also celebrating their parents.

Abiba Nnaba, former president’s mother passed away in 2016 and she was buried in Damongo in the Savannah Region according to the Islamic tradition.

She was 85 when she passed.

In celebration of the Global Day of Parents, I want to honour the memory of the woman who made me who I am,” John Mahama tweeted.

“You gave birth to me and nurtured me. I draw my patience, tolerance, kindness and humility from this great woman. May your kind soul continue to Rest In Peace,” he added.

Global Day of Parents was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1994,  to honour parents throughout the world. This day recognises the important role of responsible parenting in everyday life.
