Ghana COVID-19 Cases Rise To 7,616 With 2,421 Recoveries

Ghana’s coronavirus cases have shot up to 7,616, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on Friday, May 29, 2020.

The increase in the total case count comes after 313 new infections were recorded.

According to the Ghana Health Service, 9 more patients have recovered from the disease. The total number of recoveries now stand at 2,412, with the number of deaths still at 34.

The Ghana Health Service also indicated that the country’s active cases currently stand at 5,161.

The Bono East is now the latest region to record a coronavirus case.

The Greater Accra Region still leads with 5,331 cases, Ashanti Region is second with 1,160 cases, Western Region – 395, Central Region – 376, Eastern Region – 117, Western North Region – 63, Volta Region – 59, Northern Region – 36, Oti Region – 26, Upper East Region – 26, Upper West Region – 22, North East Region – 2, Savannah – 1, Bono Region – 1, Bono East Region – 1.

Ahafo is now the only region with no coronavirus cases.
