Bono East Region Records First COVID-19 Case

Bono East Region has become the 15th out of Ghana’s 16 regions to record a coronavirus case.

This new detail was indicated on the COVID-19 website of the Ghana Health Service on Friday, May 29, 2020.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the country’s total case count has increased to 7,616 after 313 new cases were recorded.

The total number of recoveries have also increased from 2,412 to 2,421 after 9 more patients recovered from COVID-19 since the last update on May 27, 2020.

The death toll still remains at 34.

The Greater Accra Region still leads with 5,331 cases, Ashanti Region is second with 1,160 cases, Western Region – 395, Central Region – 376, Eastern Region – 117, Western North Region – 63, Volta Region – 59, Northern Region – 36, Oti Region – 26, Upper East Region – 26, Upper West Region – 22, North East Region – 2, Savannah – 1, Bono Region – 1, Bono East Region – 1.

Ahafo is now the only region with no coronavirus cases.
