What is normal for you may be abnormal to someone and vice versa. Food is a delicate subject to be spoken about in a sense that, you cannot describe the food people eat in some type of way just because you don’t like the way it looks or taste.
If you don’t like it, that’s fine. It’s understandable. But to question why people eat it and make derogatory remarks about the food and the people who eat them is a no-no.
On that note, here are some unconventional meat and insects Ghanaians eat.
1. Larvae of the African Palm Weevil

Palm Weevil farming is a thing and a lot of the farmers are making money here in Ghana. There’s even a village in Ghana called Donyina in Kumasi, where insect farmers are under a scheme run by Aspire Food Group, which operates Ghana’s first commercial insect farm. A lot of people eat them as a source of protein. It is sometimes fried and sometimes eaten with soup.
