As per the current trend in recorded coronavirus cases, the Ghana Health Service has identified Western Region as the next hotspot in the country.

This comes after the region recorded about 57 cases in a single day.

The region currently has 277 confirmed cases.

The Ghana Health Service has said most of the cases are confined in the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis and the Tarkwa municipality.
