Ghana’s COVID-19 Cases Now 6,617 With 1,978 Recoveries

Ghana’s total coronavirus cases have increased again with 131 new infections, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on May 23, 2020.

The country’s total coronavirus cases not stand at 6,617.

However, the great news is that the number of recovery cases keep rising as Ghana nears 2,000 recoveries.

The total number of recovery cases now stand at 1,978 after 27 more patients recovered from the disease.

The death toll still remains at 31.

The Greater Accra Region still leads with 4,780 cases, Ashanti Region is second with 1,010 cases, Central Region – 297, Western Region – 208, Eastern Region – 106, Western North Region – 61, Volta Region – 45, Northern Region – 34, Oti Region – 26, Upper East Region – 26, Upper West Region – 21, North East Region – 2, Bono Region – 1.

Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions with no coronavirus cases.
