Most people do not really understand what it means to be the Maid of Honour. For most ladies, it just shows that you sort of “value” (and we use that term loosely) them higher than your other friends. This may be somewhat true in a sense but not entirely.
You’re there because the Bride is probably closer to you as compared to her other friends but also because she trusts that you will be able to handle and perform some of the responsibilities that need to be done. You need to make the bride’s work easier because it’s her big day and she absolutely cannot afford to be stressed. Here are some things you should help out with.
- Help with the bridesmaids
As the maid of honour, you’re sort of in charge of the bridesmaids. You should help them in selecting their styles so that nobody shows up looking shabby. If the bride will be giving them the same material to sew you should make sure each person gets theirs. You need to make sure that each person is on point and is aligned about the times everything happens so nobody comes late.
