The Government of Kuwait has deported 245 Ghanaians deemed to be illegal migrants back into the country.
At a press briefing by the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the deportees, who are yet to be received into the country, will undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine.
He said those who will test negative will be tested again at the end of the 14-day quarantine.
Since the country’s borders are still closed, the Minister said the deportees will arrive in the country on a special chartered flight under a special exemption given by the government.
The deportees will arrive in the country on May 23.
