Ghana’s total coronavirus cases have increased to 6,486, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on May 22, 2020.
The increase comes after 217 new cases were recorded since the last update on May, 20, 2020.
The Ghana Health Service also indicated that 53 more patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 1,951.
The number of coronavirus deaths still stand at 31.
The Greater Accra Region still leads with 4,699 cases, Ashanti Region is second with 988 cases, Central Region – 287, Western Region – 195, Eastern Region – 106, Western North Region – 57, Volta Region – 44, Northern Region – 34, Oti Region – 26, Upper East Region – 26, Upper West Region – 21, North East Region – 2, Bono Region – 1.
Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions with no coronavirus cases.
