Let’s be honest, most of the time it’s only because we want to comment on how much they’ve changed and we want to see something that’d make us say “sika dierr 3y3 ooo”
A Twitter user shared some incredible photos of famous celebrities now, photoshopped next to younger versions of themselves, making it look like a single photo.
The artist behind the photos, a Dutch photographer named Ard Gelinck in an interview with Bored Panda mentioned that this was part of a “then and now” series he has been putting out: “I have been posting photos online for about 10 years. I often challenge myself to create a certain series of images, including this “then & now” series that you see a lot now.”
It’s almost like they went back in time to take photos with themselves!

Drake was born in Canada and has described his childhood as kind of living broke. His parents divorced and he lived with his mum in a nice neighbourhood. He scored a deal acting a role in a popular TV show called “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and only because a friend in his class linked him to their dad because he thought Drake might be a good actor.
He became famous, got interested in rap at age 17, dropped two mixtapes and never looked back. He quit acting because music was taking up his time and he’s currently one of the biggest Hiphop artists with several number one hits, 4 Grammy awards and constantly breaking records on charts!
According to Oprah.com, Oprah Winfrey started her broadcasting career at WVOL radio in Nashville while she was still in high school. At the age of 19, she became the youngest person and the first African-American woman to anchor the news at Nashville’s WTVF-TV. She then went to host even more shows and then started The Oprah show which was racking in about 40 million viewers each week! She’s currently a well respected American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist worth billions of dollars!
Kanye grew up in a middle class family. He had to live with his mum who was an educator after she and his dad got divorced. At age 10, he moved with his mother to Nanjing, China, where she was teaching at Nanjing University. Kanye was into the arts and was writing poetry at age 5, writing music, rapping and recording his first song as a teen. He received a scholarship to attend an Arts school in Chicago where he took painting classes. He transferred to the Chicago State University where his mom was a professor to study English and then dropped out when he was 20.
Kanye has since gone on to become an idol in the Hiphop sphere. He’s dropped several hit albums, won lots of GRAMMYs, broken records, produced for even more hit records and was recently announced a billionaire by Forbes.
Kim Kardashian West
Kim Kardashian had quite an affluent childhood. She lived in Beverly Hills and her father was very rich from practicing law. They hang out in rich circles and her dad was even on the defence team for that popular OJ Simpson trial.
Kim Kardashian is currently married to music genius Kanye West with 4 kids. She’s made lots of millions from her life as a reality show star and is worth 350 million dollars.
Michelle Obama had a pretty normal childhood. She grew up in a working class family, went on to high school, got admitted into Princeton University, graduated with honours and then went to Harvard to study law.
She met and fell in love with Barrack Obama when he came to work at her law firm as an intern. They got married had two kids and oh we almost forgot to mention she became the first black First Lady when her husband became the first black president of the United States.
We all remember him for his role in Home Alone! He was just 10 years old and was referred to as the biggest child star within that period. He was close friends with Michael Jackson and even appeared in his “Black and White” video.
After emancipating himself from his parents (who were battling over his money) at age 14, he got married at 17, divorced, formed a band to make music at some point, took a break from the public eye, was rumoured to be a drug addict… it makes sense that he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight anymore.

Born Dwayne Johnson, The Rock first got his name during his time as a professional wrestler! He was well known and had lots of fans! From WWE Smackdown to Wrestlemania and more, The Rock was at his peak in wrestling.
He took a break, returned to wrestle part time and then went fully into acting which has turned out to be extremely successful!!! He’s currently known as one of the highest-grossing box-office stars of all time.
The Portuguese football star grew up with a father who was a gardener and a mother who worked as a cook and cleaner.
After falling in love with the game of football and showcasing great talent for it, it was no surprise that in 2001, at just 16 years old, Manchester United paid more than £12 million to sign him — a record fee for a player of his age. He’s gone on to win several awards, has broken records, and is considered one of the most iconic footballers of all time.
