Eight years ago today, Chelsea Football Club won its first UEFA Champions League title.
On May 19, 2012, the Pride of London beat Bayern Munich at their home ground – Allianz Arena – on penalties to win a title that they were aiming at winning for many years.
These were the starting lineups of both teams:

The game was keenly contested from the start as the first goal came after 82 minutes of play. The first goal was a header scored by Thomas Müller for Bayern.
Chelsea, however, kept fighting with 8 minutes to the end of the game and they got an equalizer which was also a header scored by Didier Drogba in the 88th minute.
The game then proceeded from extra time to a penalty shootout which Chelsea won 4-3 against Bayern Munich. Didier Drogba scored the winning penalty for Chelsea.
It was a memorable moment for the Blues of West London.
