President Akufo Addo To Roll Out The GHS 600 Million SME Credit Today

When the economy shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, President Akufo Addo promised a GHS 600 million credit facility to support small and medium scale enterprises.

That facility is being managed by the National Board for Small Scale Industries.

Today, President Akufo Addo will roll out the implementation of the credit facility which will see the online portal for the application being opened for entrepreneurs and SME leaders to send in their applications.

According to the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the president is expecting that the credit facility for SMEs “will alleviate the challengers of small business players in these tough times.”

He further urged the beneficiaries to put the money to good use and ensure that they repay the loan, he also advised those disbursing the funds to also not frustrate the SME leaders who will apply for the credit facility.
