This is nothing but a Larruso appreciation post.
Dancehall music in Ghana has a super bright future after all. One that does not necessarily just revolve around two artistes arguing about who the crown fits.
An undisputed fact is, Dancehall music in Ghana has been watered down into an afrobeats genre sprinkled with a bit of patois but…the upside to that is, we are owning the genre and doing great with experimentation.
We love the songs we have now definitely from all the huge names but we are tired of the same old faces squabble about being the best, not being the best etc etc etc and it’s honestly a relief that we’ve got the chance to quietly savour music from the growing young artistes who are doing amazing right now.
in Dancehall.

Larruso has become a popular name especially after he got Stonebwoy and Kwesi Arthur on the remix of his hit song Killy killy. Stonebwoy’s support for the young artiste has been exceptional!
The two were dynamite on the song and just when we thought he might just be a one hit wonder, he proved again that he is an ultimately badass reggae/dancehall artiste on Gi Dem.
His recent single, System adds that he’s yet to give us a bad song. We loved it and cannot wait for more music from him.
His consistency deserves some applause (He’s been dropping songs every few months) and we can’t help but stan this addition to the reggae/dancehall scene.
For someone who rapidly gained attention just last year, we’d really hope he blows way beyond his imaginations… he’s on the right path and we cannot wait to jam to future projects from him!
Stream all of his music on all music streaming platforms and enjoy our current favourite from him which is also his most recent song:
