Japanese Grandmother Holds Guinness World Record For Oldest Video Game Streamer

Japanese gamer (and grandmother) Hamako Mori has just announced some exciting news on her YouTube channel. The 90-year-old streamer has just been awarded a Guinness World Record for the oldest video gamer streamer.

Now on to her 39th year of playing video games, Mori has amassed a number of games spanning from the ’80s to today. While the Nintendo 64 remains as one of her all-time favorite consoles, she is currently cycling through a number of PlayStation 4 titles and holds Grand Theft Auto 5 as one of her favorite games.

When asked how she got into streaming, the 90-year-old replied, “I felt that if I started to play games, life would be really interesting and I wouldn’t have to think about unnecessary things. I’m glad to have lived till this age and I’m glad that I’ve learned how to play video games. I’m enjoying life.”
