The news of Callum Hudson-Odoi’s arrest on suspicion of rape comes as a surprise to many football fans on social media.
The Chelsea and England winger was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after a woman reported to the police that she was raped. She was taken to hospital for checks.
Reports also suggest that the 19-year-old met the lady, who is a model, online and invited her to his home.
Hudson-Odoi, however, has been released on bail.
