President Akufo Addo’s regular Sunday night televised address to the country has become an expected feature as part of the government’s provision of information to Ghana about coronavirus.
Since his initial coronavirus address back in March, the President has held about 8 more addresses.
Today being Sunday, some Ghanaians have already started asking questions as to whether the President will address the country tonight.
According to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the president will not be addressing the country tonight.
“The president will speak close to the end of the month,” Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said when he held a live session on Instagram to interact with Ghanaians.
He said the president has already extended a number of actions that are currently set to elapse at the end of the month, such as the closure of borders and the ban on social gatherings.
He said the government is still assessing these measures and Ghanaians would be informed of the next steps by the President getting to the end of the month.
Stay safe out there, guys.
