Ghana’s total coronavirus cases have increased again as 97 more people have been infected by the disease, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed.
The new cases have now taken Ghana’s total COVID-19 cases to 5,735.
The Ghana Health Service also confirmed that one more patient has succumbed to the disease. This new death, however, takes the total number of deaths to 29.
Ghana also recorded another huge increase in recoveries as 294 patients recovered from the disease. The total recovery cases now stand at 1,254.
The Greater Accra Region still leads with 4,314 cases, followed by Ashanti Region with 818 cases, Central Region with 210, Eastern Region – 99, Western Region – 98, Western North Region – 57, Volta Region – 34, Northern Region – 31, Oti Region – 26, Upper East Region – 26, Upper West Region – 21, North East Region – 2, Bono Region – 1.
Savannah Region, Ahafo Region and Bono East Region have not recorded coronavirus cases.
