Ghana’s FDA Becomes Second In Africa To Obtain WHO’s Maturity Level 3 Credentials

Dr Neema Kimambo, Country Representative of WHO presents credentials to FDA

Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has attained another milestone in its certification processes.

It has become the second national regulatory authority in Africa to obtain Maturity Level 3 credentials from the World Health Organization.

This means that, the FDA has the capacity to effectively appraise medical products in line with highly accepted world standards.

After years of institutional improvement, the FDA has reached a level of maturity that aligns with a stable well-functioning and integrated system of oversight for medical products according to the standards of the World Health Organization.

The FDA’s Maturity Level 3 credentials were presented by Dr Neema Kimambo, the country representative of the World Health Organization.

Congrats to the FDA.
