Boy With COVID-19 Symptoms Escapes From Hospital In Upper East Region

The Ghana Police Service has mounted a search for a 15-year-old boy who escaped from a hospital in the Upper East Region.

According to the police, Titus Maabang reported to the St. Theresa’s Hospital at random and was diagnosed with symptoms of COVID-19.

He was put into quarantine of May 2, however, on May 13, authorities realized he had escaped from quarantine while waiting for the results of his COVID-19 test.

The police has urged “relatives and the general public especially the people of Nandom to aid the police and the Hospital authorities with reliable information to get in touch with the patient for treatment to avoid the spread.
