Universal Music France (UMF) and The Aristokrat Group, an entertainment company based in Nigeria have announced a partnership deal which seeks to develop and promotes African artists.
The partnership consists of a label and publishing deal the Universal Music Publishing Group.
Universal Music France and Aristokrat Group will work together to discover and develop exciting new African talent, giving artists and songwriters the opportunity to reach global audiences with support from Universal Music Group companies around the world.
The first signings under the deal include the producer of Burna Boy’s African Giant album, Kel P (Nigeria), singer and songwriter T’neeya (Cameroon) and singer, songwriter and producer Jujuboy Star (Nigeria). All Aristokrat Records artists will be signed through UMF division Caroline France.
The Aristokrat Group has been in business for more than 10 years and offers a range of multimedia and entertainment services to artists, labels and corporate brands. The company has worked with a number of big artists in Nigeria and says it discovered Afro-fusion sensation Burna Boy, Music in Africa reports.
