President Akufo Addo has paid a working visit to one of the institutions at the fore front of the country’s fight against coronavirus.
The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research is the leading institution that has carried out most coronavirus tests.
President Akufo Addo visited the facility yesterday, hours before he addressed the country on the latest actions by the government to fight the spread of the virus.
“His visit was to see the process of testing for COVID-19 and to interact with the staff who have been working tirelessly for 24 hours on a daily basis,” a Facebook post by Noguchi said.
“The president expressed satisfaction with the work going on and thanked the Institute and University for working hard to help meet the demand for COVID-19 testing in the country,” the Facebook post added.
