The National Service Scheme has implemented a number of measures to protect its employees and service persons as Ghana fights coronavirus pandemic.
The measures include allowing service persons to book appointment before visiting their offices as well as establishing mobile money platforms for the payment of registration fees.
In an interview with GH One, the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Gifty Oware-Aboagye said the Board of Directors of the NSS will meet on 27th May to outline a number of measures ahead of the 2020/2021 service year.
She mentioned that while considering the suspension questions about those in essential services such as health, education and others would also arise.
She also confirmed that though some of the service persons are not going to work, the service is still paying them by using previously filled validation forms.
