President Akufo Addo Likens Coronavirus Fight To Slavery And Colonialism

President Akufo Addo

Ghana or Ghanaians have lived through bad times.

The history of people who have settled in what is present-day Ghana is filled with a war between various ethnic groups.

Then there was slavery which became colonialism which officially ended on March 6, 1957 in Ghana.

However, beyond that, we have lived through dictatorship, coups, tyranny, yet… Ghanaians have always come out of the other side.

This, according to President Akufo Addo is a testament to the resilience of Ghanaians to overcome adversity.

He said, despite the current situation that the country has found itself in, Ghanaians are determined that in our generation we will realize the dreams of freedom and justice.
