The rising numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country is taking its toll on those on the frontlines of healthcare delivery.

Ghana has more than 4,200 cases of coronavirus, and already Christian institutions have started urging the government to lift the ban on social gathering.

In a statement, the Ghana Medical Association asked the President not to lift the ban on church activities, funerals, marriage ceremonies and other social activities.

The doctors also asked the government to “ensure prompt and continues distribution of PPEs to all health workers at their various institutions (or places of work) at all times.”
