The Bono Region has recorded its first positive coronavirus case. The case was recorded in the Jaman North District of the region.
This means that a total of 13 out of 16 regions in Ghana have recorded cases so far.
This new detail was disclosed by the Ghana Health Service on its COVID-19 website.
The Ghana Health Service also confrimed that the country’s total cases have shot up to 3,091 after 372 new cases were recorded.
Ghana’s recovery cases have also increased to 303 with the death toll still at 18.
According to the Ghana Health Service a total of 137,924 tests have been recorded across the country so far.
Greater Accra is the region with the most recorded cases with a case count of 2,579, Ashanti Region is second with 165, Eastern Region with 95, Western North Region – 56, Central Region – 50, Western Region – 32, Volta Region – 30, Upper East Region – 26, Oti Region – 23, Upper West Region – 19, Northern Region – 13, North East Region – 2, Bono Region – 1.
Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions with no cases currently.
