The 2020 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz has been postponed until further notice.
The competition which was scheduled to take place between June and July 2020 will no longer happen due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NSMQ will no longer take place in June – July as scheduled,” Primetime, the organisers of the SHS competition announced in a statement.
The organisers also stated that they are monitoring the coronavirus situation in the country and will inform schools and followers on new dates for the competition.
“Primetime is closely monitoring the crisis and will share updates on new dates for the Championship as soon as they are available,” the statement added.
The 2019 edition of the championship was won by St Augustines College. They beat defending champions St Peter’s SHS and 5-time champions Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, to lift the trophy.
