Laetitia Ky is undoubtedly one of the talented people on earth.

The 23-year-old got Instagram famous in 2017 for reimagining her hair as a canvas for creation. She transforms her hair into all kinds of shapes to express her mind and what she feels at any given point.

Laetitia’s touches on social issues like the #MeToo movement (against sexual harassment and sexual assault of women) where she made her hair portray a man lifting the skirt of a woman, stigmas against mental illness, gender inequality, gun violence, and body positivity.

She hopes her styles will help women accept and embrace their natural hair texture. For Laetitia, hair isn’t just about beauty, but it’s also a medium to talk about the standards of beauty, body shaming and gender inequality that women go through.

Check out some of her pictures and times she used her platform to address social issues

  1. When Ivorian women victims of rape were taking back their power by calling their rapist out publicly under the hashtag #jesuisunevictime
