The latest Apple iOS 13.5 beta is making it easier to unlock Face ID-equipped iPhones while wearing a face mask.
According to reports, the tech giant’s newest update will immediately recognize the face mask then prompt the user to enter their passcode.
Currently, iPhone users are required to wait an extra 10-15 seconds and swipe up several times in order to pull up the passcode option.
Aside from the Face ID update, Apple is also improving FaceTime group video calls. The latest iOS beta will give participants the option to disable the group video call’s dynamic zoom effect, turning off the automatic feature that amplifies the face of the person who is currently speaking.
If an individual prefers to have one participant’s face enlarged on their screen, they can simply tap on the person’s feed.
