The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra interacted with the leadership of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and Course Representatives of the school yesterday, Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
The meeting scheduled to start at 7 p.m. was held on videoconferencing platform, Zoom.
This will be the second time Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey has met the representatives of the students since the school was closed as a result of the threat posed by the coronavirus.
According to the SRC, the Vice-Chancellor was to update the students’ representatives on the school’s preparation towards the upcoming online examination scheduled to start on May 18, 2020.
He also used the opportunity to appeal to the leaders to speak to students who are yet to pay their school fees to do so before the start of the exam.
Professor Okoe Amartey briefly touched on the duration given to students to transmit their responses in the upcoming exams which nearly sparked tension between students and management after the release of the examination timetable last Saturday.
The examination timetable had captured 24 hours as the period for students to send their responses to the respective lecturers despite an earlier communication from the university communicating 48 hours.
But this anomaly has since been corrected with the release of the final examination timetable.
