Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Denies Reports Of Presidential Letter Banning Mallams On TV

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Information

The Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has set records straight about media reports suggesting he has called for a ban of Mallams and fetish priests on television.

Earlier reports suggested that Kojo Oppong Nkrumah had said the Office of the President had issued such a letter.

However, in a series of tweets, the minister debunks the reports attributed to him.

While doing so, he set the records straight on what he actually said on the matter.

The Minister said he wrote the letter to the Bank of Ghana and the National Media Commission to look into the activities of said money doublers on TV.

We may soon see action taken against such people, or maybe nothing may come out of the letter.

What is clear is that there is currently, no official ban on Mallams and fetish priests undertaking their money doubling activities on television channels.
