Ghana’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 1,671

Coronavirus Positive Cases

Ghana has now confirmed 121 new coronavirus cases, taking the total recorded cases to 1,671.

This new detail was announced by Dr Patrick Aboagye, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, at a COVID-19 media briefing on April 28, 2020.

He also confirmed that the country has recorded 188 recovery cases.

He added that there are 5 new reported deaths but the Ghana Health Service is still validating the report.

Dr Patrick Aboagye gave a breakdown of the cases stating that 563 of the cases have come from general surveillance, 1113 cases from enhanced tracing, 1461 are responding to treatment.

He also stated that 6 are moderate to critically ill, out of which 2 are at UGMC, 3 in Ga East and 1 in Korle Bu.
