Mandatory Wearing Of Face Masks To Start In Cape Coast On April 27

The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) is set to enforce the mandatory wearing of face masks in Cape Coast to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“In an attempt to ensure compliance with the directives of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana on the wearing of face masks to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic,” a statement issued by the management of CCMA indicated.

This directive by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly takes effect from Monday, April 27, 2020.

The management of CCMA also “advises all public and private institutions including Hospitals, Clinics, Shops, Banks, Pharmacies, Lorry Stations, among others to put notices of NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY.”
