Coronavirus: Wearing Of Face Masks Made Compulsory In Greater Accra

The Greater Accra Regional Co-ordination Council, to ensure compliance with President Akufo-Addo’s directives on social distancing and wearing of face masks, has taken a decision to enforce some measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

Top of the measures that the Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinating Council is going to enforce is the mandatory use of face masks by the public in the Greater Accra Region.

To ensure that the public adhere to the various protocals, the council stated that it will carry out education and sensitization programmes to teach the importance of wearing face masks and observing social distancing.

Other measures that will be enforced by the council to ensure social distancing is the creation of satellite markets to decongest main markets.
