David Mills is among many other impressive things, an Executive Coach. His claim to experience is that everyone that he has ever coached for a job, has landed the job. Today, David gives us tips on getting the job when you don’t have the listed years of experience.
You Might Already Have The Experience
David Mills is of the opinion that experience is not just the companies that you have worked. In fact, when you are listing your experience, you can go as far back as JHS and list the positions that you held. Were you on the football team? Did you play the drums for the school band? Were you class prefect? List all of those things. Experience can also come from an informal space. Even your side hustle in the University counts as experience. Did you start a makeup business in University? Were you selling sneakers? All of this is your experience.
