CCTU’s Zanetor Amu Shares Her Final Year Plans Even With The Coronavirus Situation

My Name is Zanetor Amu From Cape Coast Technical University and a final year Marketing student.

I know a lot of people in school are finding it difficult and are sceptical about what the future holds for us.

It is quite heartbreaking to spend all this time in school and just when we are at the finish line, tragedy strikes.

At this point, if it was within my control, I would have some hope and know that things will pass but the pandemic unfortunately for us is global on the President’s directives to shut down the schools has definitely thrown a lot of students and myself as well in a state of confusion.

On one hand, I am worried about getting infected and on the other hand, I’m wondering if we are going to finish school as planned.

I have decided to focus on the plans I made because I believe we will get through this. My plan is to stay focused on my academics despite the scare of the pandemic .

How do I plan to do that?

I use my time judiciously as I have quarantined myself in my room, by coordinating with my Project work partner to ensure we share ideas via WhatsApp.

I read my lecture notes alongside working on my project work so as not to miss my target when we are finally asked to return to school after the situation of the COVID-19 is minimized or kept under control.

What keeps me moving with plans is my dream for a better future, and that cannot be compromised by anything so far as there is life.
