As part of efforts to stop the importation of coronavirus, President Akufo Addo closed the country’s borders last March.

The country’s land, sea and air borders were all closed to both Ghanaian nationals and foreigners.

In his 7th coronavirus update address to the country, President Akufo said he has an order to extend the closure of the border for two more weeks.

This comes as he lifts the partial lockdown placed on Accra, Kumasi and Kasoa.

Ghana currently has 1,042 confirmed coronavirus cases.
