The SRC has over the past few weeks been in constant touch with Management on issues regarding data, online IA and other inhuman attitudes of some lecturers, all in a bid of seeking the general welfare of students.

With a careful analysis of the current trend of events the SRC deemed it necessary to call upon management to consider the following:

Instruct lecturers to give assignment instead of online IAs and quizzes.

Give students who may have underperformed during the online IAs or did not partake in the IAs an opportunity to take assignments in place of the IA.

Instruct all lecturers to make available recorded videos of their lectures for revision.

Absorb late penalty or possibly grant students a 10% discount as part of a relief package during these difficult times.

Extension of end of lectures by 2 extra weeks to enable some lecturers finish their course outlines and to break students for vacation afterwards. This should be subject to new government directives.

Frontline workers in all departments should be granted special support for their academics or exempted from IAs and also benefit from special arrangements.
