The school has been locked down for the past few weeks and many students have been wondering the way forward with teaching and learning with regard to the University.
A communique has been released which details the Vice Chancellor’s meeting with the Deans and Administrative Heads on the 8th of April 2020 and they agreed on a plan regarding the resumption of teaching and learning online starting April 20th, 2020.
The University of Energy and Natural Resources has deployed the UENR e-learning platform (https://elearning.uenr.edu.gh/login/index.php) so that teaching and learning can resume immediately for the remainder of the 2019/2020 Academic Year.
Course Representatives of the various programmes will be contacted to help in the dissemination of learning materials on class Whatsapp platforms.
Vodafone Ghana has provided zero-rated data online sites where lecturers and students can access learning materials at no cost.
Management of the University is in discussion with other telecommunication companies including MTN and AirtelTigo to roll out similar offers.
Details of the zero-rated data sites will be sent to lecturers and students in the coming weeks.
Students who may not have access to the internet can pick up copies of the learning materials which will also be deposited at the Distant Learning Centres of KNUST, UEW, Legon and UCC.
