WHO Offers African Countries Alternative Measures In Tackling COVID-19

Coronavirus is rapidly increasing across Africa in recent weeks.

Africa has now recorded more that 10,000 coronavirus eventhough leaders of African countries are taking strict measures to curb the spread of the disease.

Dr Matshidiso Moeti, the WHO Regional Director for Africa has also outlined some alternative measures that African countries can consider in a bid to combat the disease.

According to her, “tackling this pandemic requires a decentralised response.”

“Communities must be empowered and get the resources and expertise needed to tackle outbreaks locally,” she added.

Ghana’s Coronavirus Cases

Ghana has so far confirmed 313 Coronavirus cases including 6 deaths and 3 recoveries.
