The Ministry of Youth and Sports has made a move in fighting the Coronavirus pandemic which has halted all sports events in Ghana and the world.
The Ministry on Tuesday [April 7, 2020] conducted a fumigation exercise in all sports facilities in the country, as part of measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
The fumigation exercise was supervised by the National Sports Authority.
All the sports facilities that were fumigated have not been in use since President Akufo-Addo announced a ban on all public gatherings including sports events in a bid to observe social distancing.
The Ghana Premier League and other sports activities were suspended indefinitely in line with the president’s directive.
