Rapper Zakisha Brown Raps About Her Ghanaian Experience In New Single ” Went To Ghana”

Since December 2019, Ghana has become a hotspot for tourism due to the Year Of Return initiative.

December was filled with a lot of activities that brought the city of Accra to life.

Canadian rapper and spoken-word artist, Zakisha Brown was in Ghana from December 2019 to February 2020 and fell in love with the experience, culture, food, energy, and vibe. This is evident in her song “Went To Ghana”. She recorded the song right after she left Ghana.

Went To Ghana is just about her experience while in Ghana.

In the song, she talks about black oppression and how blacks need to come to Ghana/Africa to have a sense of identity.

You can’t come to Ghana and not experience our mouth-watering delicacies. She spoke about our Banku, Fufu, Kelewele, Red Red and the Jollof.

She later spoke about the hawkers who balance stuff on their head, in reference she said it made her level up because it makes her know she can be tough if she puts in the work.
