If you ever wondered why he calls himself by that name, you’re in luck. This is how the name “Fimfim” came about.
Fimfim is an acronym meaning Future Inspired Music For Inquiring Minds.
When he started music, he was called “mfe mpadeɛ” which is Akan for ribs.
“I have no idea why I even took that name. People were finding it hard to call me the full name and so they shortened it to “Fimps”. So I decided to shorten the name myself to Fimfim”, he told us in an interview.
When he decided to go with the name Fimfim, it didn’t have any meaning. It wasn’t an acronym but just a name. He decided to find a meaning to it later on.
