OV is definitely one of the music talents everyone is looking out for in the music industry because of her amazing voice, great personality and her style of music.
Everyone knew and loved her from MTN Hitmaker 2018 and when she won, fans were ecstatic and eager to see how she was going to take over GH by storm.
She did not disappoint. OV becoming affiliated with Stonebwoy and the BHIM family was a big win for her and their music together put her on bigger platforms.
Now the whole time everyone has known OV as an artiste, everyone has known her name to mean Okailey Verse. Okailey which is from her name Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko and Verse which is in relation to her musical talent.
However, OV revealed to Kuulpeeps.com during her Emergers 2020 interview that she’s switching from the name Okailey Verse to Original Version.
OV explained that the name Original has been a part of her for a very long time. People have been calling her Orijay for the longest time and when Stonebwoy started referring to her as the Original Version, she realized there was some truth to it and didn’t see anything wrong with using that as her name now.
“I have always been Orijay. I was Okailey Verse in Hitmaker but now…this is me. This is the Original Version. The name has been there but now, I am living it.”
